LA Fitness

A relatively simple interior refresh project of a nationally known fitness center that quickly turned into a large and challenging project when the demolition revealed a long-failed exterior finish system that resulted in molded and rotten plywood sheathing and rusted and failing wall framing members. A&S worked with out of town contractor, VCC, to quickly resolve the issues, engineer a new exterior wall system and complete the fast-paced project successfully. Our scope of work included engineering of cold formed metal framing systems, exterior sheathing, EIFS, interior drywall partitions and acoustical ceilings systems. The original contract amount tripled from $250,000 to over $750,000 as a result of the unanticipated problems with the existing building envelope.  A&S was able to help VCC, the building owner and LA Fitness minimize cost of the unanticipated repairs and minimize the building downtime by a significant amount of overtime, working extra shifts and weekends.
