James “J” Anderson

Project Manager/Estimator

Since 2009, J has served the role of Project Manager and Estimator at A&S. J has been instrumental in growing our business in the north MS market, specifically the Oxford community and on the Ole Miss campus. Credit is owed to J for completion of successful projects such as Oxford High School, Vaught Hemingway Stadium renovations, Manning Indoor Football Practice Facility, Barksdale Honors College, Ole Miss Student Housing Dormitories, Ventures Hall renovations, Barksdale Honors College, Faulkner Hall, Gus’s Chicken, Oxford Galleria retail development, and many, many others.

In the Memphis area, J earned the award and successfully managed many notable projects such as the Kay Research Center at St. Jude Children’s Hospital, International Paper’s Tower IV headquarters, and the University of Memphis School of Law.

J came to A&S by way of Deviney Construction, a full service utility contractor, where he served as crew supervisor in their utility maintenance division. Prior to Deviney, J operated his family’s fish farm business in the MS Delta. Born and raised in Yazoo City, MS, J is a quintessential southerner. He’s a graduate of the University of MS and loves Ole Miss enough to reside in Oxford and commute to Memphis daily for work. J and his wife have three active young boys that he enjoys hanging out with  J is passionate about the Ole Miss rebels and hunting. His free time is usually spent doing something related to sporting events at Ole Miss or at his hunting camp on the Big Black river near his beloved home of Yazoo City.

J embodies A&S culture of being part of the solution instead of the problem. He is firm but fair, ever balancing the tightrope of customer satisfaction while simultaneously protecting the interest of A&S. He has strong estimating and project management skills. He is honest, straightforward, efficient and effective in executing his duties and is pleasure to work with.
